Dua for the First Ashra of Ramadan:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
اے میرے رب بخش دے اور رحم فرما اور تو سب سے برتر رحم کرنے والا
Transliteration: Rabbighfir warham wa anta khayrur raahimeen.
Translation: "O my Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
Meaning and Significance:
- Seeking Forgiveness: This dua asks Allah for forgiveness for our sins and shortcomings.
- Seeking Mercy: It also seeks Allah's mercy, which is especially abundant during the first ten days of Ramadan.
- Acknowledging Allah's Attributes: By saying "You are the best of the merciful," we acknowledge that Allah's mercy is greater than anyone else's.
When to Recite:
This dua can be recited throughout the day and night during the first Ashra of Ramadan.
It is especially powerful after obligatory prayers (Salah), during Sujood (prostration), or in the last third of the night (Tahajjud time).
Additional Acts for the First Ashra:
- Increase in Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah): Recite SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar (سبحان الله، الحمد لله، الله أكبر), and La ilaha illallah (لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ) frequently.
- Recite the Quran: Spend time daily reading and reflecting on the Quran.
- Give Charity: Show mercy to others by giving charity and helping those in need.
