Meaning and Significance:
- Seeking Protection: This dua asks Allah for protection from the punishment of Hellfire.
- Focus on Salvation: The third Ashra is a time to focus on seeking salvation and striving for Jannah (Paradise).
- Laylatul Qadr (لَيلَةُ القَدْر): The last ten days include the blessed Laylatul Qadr, during which worship is highly rewarded.
When to Recite:
- This dua can be recited throughout the day and night during the third Ashra of Ramadan.
- It is especially powerful during Tahajjud (night prayers), Sujood (prostration), and while making sincere supplications.
- Increase its recitation during the odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th) of Ramadan, as Laylatul Qadr is likely to occur on one of these nights.
Additional Acts for the Third Ashra:
- Increase in Worship: Spend more time in Salah (prayer), Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and Quran recitation.
- I'tikaf: Many Muslims observe I'tikaf (seclusion in the mosque) during the last ten days to focus entirely on worship.
- Charity: Increase acts of charity and kindness, as good deeds are multiplied in Ramadan.
- Seek Laylatul Qadr: Pray sincerely during the odd nights, as worship on Laylatul Qadr is better than worship for a thousand months.
